Honey Chai Cake |
A delicious honey cake with tea, covered with vanilla and white chocolate icing, no one can resist it! Shaikha – founder of “When Shaikha Cooks” blog – prepared for you this unique recipe, to prepare it easily, especially for when you’re expecting friends.

Serves: 10 persons
All you need
For Chai Cake:
5 tea bags
1 cup milk prepared from al alali Full Cream Milk Powder
170g butter – soft
1/2 cup sugar (100g)
2 large eggs
1/3 cup al alali Multiflora Honey (115g)
1/2 tsp al alali vanilla powder
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp al alali Baking Powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp al alali Multiflora Honey
For Vanilla Honey glaze:
3 tbsps milk prepared from al alali Full Cream Milk Powder
2 tbsps al alali Multiflora Honey
Pinch of sea salt
60g white chocolate – chopped
3 tbsps cream cheese
1/2 vanilla bean
Cereal for garnish
Directions
Chai Cake:
- In a small pot, heat tea and milk prepared from al alali Full Cream Milk Powder. Bring to simmer until it reaches a rich color, then turn heat off. Set aside to cool at room temperature, then strain it
- In a bender, mix butter and sugar until fluffy, add eggs then add al alali Multiflora Honey with al alali vanilla powder
- Add dry ingredients while adding milk mixture
- Swirl 1 tsp al alali Multiflora Honey on top, and bake in oven at 175°C (350°F) for 50-60 minutes
Vanilla Honey glaze:
- Melt al alali Multiflora Honey with the milk prepared from al alali Full Cream Milk Powder and salt over gentle heat, then remove from stove
- Add white chocolate. Mix until fully melted. Add cream cheese slowly until fully mixed and follow with the vanilla bean. Put in fridge until ready to use
- Top chai cake with vanilla honey glaze and cereal. Serve and enjoy!
